Point to Note: Use of Bridal Car

Use of Bridal Car

Bridal cars are provided for the chauffeuring of the bride and groom on their wedding day. Therefore, as long as the bridal couple is in the car, the bridal car is obliged to drive them wherever they want. The bridal car however cannot be used to pick-up and drop off friends and relatives.

Should the couple know of this additional requirement of transporting relatives before hand, the boutique should be informed prior to the booking of the package or the car. If this is done, and the boutique agrees to it, no additional costs should be incurred. However, if this is a last minute requirement, couples can easily solve the problem by talking with the driver and giving him some “coffee money.”

Brides must note that there are service terms and conditions attached to every item and service provided for in the wedding package.  In fact, most of these terms and conditions are simply “industry practices” which boutiques often assume couples know and neglect to inform the clients up-front.  Not surprisingly, this is where the majority of misunderstandings occur between clients and boutiques and accusations of hidden costs arise. Such unpleasant events can easily be averted if boutiques took the trouble to explain and couples knew what to ask.
